Solomon Water would like to inform the general public that the chemical spill scare at Tuvaruhu School is under the Ministry of Environment responsibility to contain.
Due to its proximity to SIWA bores holes some sectors of the public fear it could spill into SIWA water sources.
Although we believe it will have no effect on our water quality, as a precautionary measure we have shut down one of our pumps at the Tuvaruhu Pump Station and our water quality team is closely monitoring the situation however these areas: Vara Creek, No.3, Marble Street, China Town and some parts of Bahai ( Rita Eleven Building ) may experience low pressure.
The Chairman Mr. Phil Bradford said: "It is very important to respect SIWA installations and water catchment areas. Where people live inside or in close proximity to bore holes, the risk of contamination increases, and we do not want to supply contaminated water to our people."
Solomon Water regrets any inconvenience this may cause but thank its valued customers for their understanding and patience. Your safety is our priority. We will provide further updates to this notice if there are any changes.
